প্রথমেই মনে রাখতে হবে যে ইংরেজি হচ্ছে একটা ভাষা, যা চর্চা করতে করতে আয়ত্ব করা যায়। যেকোনো ভাষাই শেখার জন্য চারটি ধাপ থাকে,  যেমনঃ  01. Reading  02. Writing  03. Listening  04. Speaking সহজ ভাবে যদি বলি, যত বেশি বেশি Listening করবেন তত দ্রুত আপনার Speaking এ Improve করতে পারবেন। এছাড়াও, Speaking এর ক্ষেত্রে নির্দিষ্ট একটা Topic বা বিষয়ে Listening এর পাশাপাশি নিজে নিজে বলার চেষ্টা করতে হবে। কারো সাথে Practice করতে পারলে বা বলতে পারলে অর্থাৎ এক-দুই জন পার্টনার থাকলে এক্ষেত্রে আরও ভালো হয়। যত বেশি বেশি Reading ও Listening বুঝতে পারবেন তত দ্রুত Writing এ Improve করতে পারবেন। আবার Writing এর ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিদিন কিছুনা কিছু লিখতে হবে এবং সেটা অন্য কাউকে দিয়ে অর্থাৎ  ভালো লিখতে পারে এমন কাউকে দিয়ে Check করিয়ে নিতে পারলে লেখায় দ্রুত উন্নতি করা সম্ভব হয়। এছাড়া, Writing এর জন্য Online থেকে Grammarly এর সহায়তা ও নেওয়া যেতে পারে। Writing এর জন্য English এ Grammar যতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Speaking এর ক্ষেত্রে Grammar ততটা না জানলেও সমস্যা নেই। Speaking টা হচ্ছে আপনি আপনার সামনে...

In time অর্থ – সময় মতো। In no time অর্থ – অবিলম্বে। At no time অর্থ — কখনো নয়। All Day long অর্থ — সারা দিন। The whole day অর্থ — সারাদিন ধরে Coeval / Contemporary অর্থ —সমসাময়িক। This morning অর্থ  — আজ সকালে। Day after day অর্থ — দিনের পর দিন। As day goes অর্থ — দিন যত যায়। At a later date অর্থ — পরবর্তী কোন একদিন। Shortly অর্থ – অল্প সময়ের মধ্যে। By time অর্থ — সময়ের আগেই। Within time অর্থ  — সময়সীমার মধ্যে। In due time অর্থ  – যথা সময়ে। Most of the time অর্থ  — অধিকাংশ সময়। At times অর্থ  — মাঝে মাঝে। From time to time অর্থ –ক্ষণে ক্ষণে। Time and Time again অর্থ — দীর্ঘদিন ধরে। At the time অর্থ — ঐ সময়ে। At one time অর্থ — অতীতে একদা। For the time being অর্থ — আপাতত। Take your time অর্থ — সময় নিয়ে করো। At all times অর্থ — সদা সর্বদা। Five times অর্থ — পাঁচবার / পাঁচগুণ.. নিজেদের চারিত্রিক কিছু দুর্বলতা কাটিয়ে উঠার জন্য যে যে জিনিস গুলো পরিহার করা দরকার।

পৃথিবীতে প্রতিটা মানুষের-ই কিছু না কিছু দুর্বলতা থাকে। অনেক সময় নিজেদের কিছু দুর্বলতা জানা সত্বেও আমরা নিজেদের উন্নতি না করে বরং নিজেদের চালাক-চতুরতা বা বুদ্ধি প্রয়োগ করে থাকি, যা সবসময় ফলপ্রসু হয় না। মনে রাখা উচিত যে ইংরেজিতে একটা প্রবাদ আছে Empty vessels sound much. অর্থাৎ খালি কলসি বাজে বেশি। তাই খালি কলসি বাজিয়ে লাভের চেয়ে ক্ষতি-ই বেশি হয়। অপ্রিয় কিছু সত্য কথা, যে জিনিস গুলো পরিহার করা দরকারঃ 01. নিজে যেটা মনে করা বা নিজের চিন্তা-ভাবনাকে সবসময় সঠিক মনে করা। 02. নিজের রাগ কন্ট্রোল করতে না পারা। 03. রাগের মাথায় যা-তা বলে ফেলা। 04. নিজের আবেগের / অনুভূতির নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে না পারা। 05. কারো পিছনে লাগলে এর শেষ ফলাফল বা পরিনতি দেখার জন্য নিজের জীবনের মূল্যবান সময় নষ্ট করা। 06. কোন কিছু বা কোন বিষয় নিয়ে ভাবতে গিয়ে নিজের ভেতর অস্থিরতা কাজ করা। 07. অন্যের কোন কথা শুনলে চট করে রেগে যাওয়া। 08. নিজের রাগ বা ক্ষোভ লুকাতে না পারা। 09. নিজের কাছে যেটা সঠিক বলে মনে হচ্ছে তার পিছনেই শুধু পড়ে থাকা। 10. অন্যের কথা শুনে সাথে সাথে নিজের প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখিয়ে ফেলা। 11. সবকিছুতে প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখাতে ন...
