Past Indefinite Tense কাকে বলে? Past Indefinite Tense চেনার উপায় কি কি? Past Indefinite Tense এর গঠন বা Structure কি? ইংরেজি বাক্যে কখন Was/Were ব্যবহার হয়? ইংরেজি বাক্যে কখন was/were ব্যবহার হয় না?


Past Indefinite Tense: 

 Past Indefinite Tense কাকে বলে? / What is Past Indefinite Tense?=> অতীত কালে কোনো কাজ সাধারণ ভাবে হয়েছিল এরূপ বোঝালে Verb-এর Past Indefinite Tense হয়।

 Past Indefinite Tense চেনার উপায় কি কি? / Past Indefinite Tense চেনার সহজ উপায় কি কি?

 বাক্যে সাধারনত  Yesterday, last evening / night / week / month / year,  six weeks ago, at 2 o'clock, In 2019, the other day, ages ago, a long time ago, once, once upon a time, one day, In the past, before, the previous day, In those days, previously, ago, long since, long before, the day before yesterday শব্দের উল্লেখ থাকে।

  Past Indefinite Tense এর গঠন বা Structure কি? / What is the structure of Past Indefinite tense?

  Structure: Subject + Main Verb এর Past Form + Object.

 এখন নিচের সবগুলো নিয়মই পড়ুন সবগুলোই Past Indefinite Tense এর উদাহরণঃ

  ইংরেজি বাক্যে কখন Was/Were ব্যবহার হয়?


  => ছিল / ছিলাম / ছিলেন / ছিলে শব্দটি যখন যুক্ত অবস্থায় না থেকে মুক্ত অবস্থায় থাকবে তখন was / were হবে।
  অথবা, Subject নিজেই যখন কোন জায়গায় ছিল, কোন পেশায় ছিল বা কোন অবস্থায় ছিল বুঝালে was / were হবে।
  অবস্থার মধ্যে আবার তিনটি বিষয় রয়েছে। যথাঃ শারীরিক, মানষিক এবং অর্থনৈতিক অবস্থা।
 
· I was a student - আমি ছাত্র ছিলাম।
· He was fine - সে ভাল ছিল।
· Who was there? - সেখানে কে ছিল?
· You were tired - তোমরা ক্লান্ত ছিলে।
· Was he here? - সে কি এখানে ছিল?
· We were downhearted -আমরা মনমরা ছিলাম।
· He was solvent - তিনি সচ্ছল ছিলেন।
· They were jolly - তাহারা হাসিখুশি ছিল।
· Who was able? - কে সক্ষম ছিল?
· Who wasn’t able? - কে সক্ষম ছিল না?
· I was coughing - আমি কাশছিলাম।
· I was fit -  আমি উপযুক্ত ছিলাম।
· I was hungry -  আমি ক্ষুধার্ত ছিলাম।
· I was excited - আমি উত্তেজিত ছিলাম।
· I was so tired - আমি খুব ক্লান্ত ছিলাম।
· I was exhausted - আমি ক্লান্ত ছিলাম।
· I was happy - আমি সুখে ছিলাম।
· I was unemployed - আমি বেকার ছিলাম।
· I was sociable - আমি মিশুক ছিলাম।
· I was lucky - আমি ভাগ্যবান ছিলাম।
· The grapes were sour -আঙ্গুরগুলো টক ছিল।
· The pen was red - কলমটি লাল ছিল ।
· They were naughty - ওরা দুষ্ট ছিল ।
· You were not helpless - তোমরা অসহায় ছিলে না ।
· You were not brave - তুমি সাহসী ছিলে না ।
· They were not kind - তারা দয়ালু  ছিল না ।
· We were not present - আমরা উপস্থিত ছিলাম না।
· Were the flowers not red? - ফুলগুলো কি লাল ছিল না?

 ইংরেজি বাক্যে কখন Was/were ব্যবহার হয় না?

 => ছিলাম/ছিলেন/ছিলে কথাটি যখন অন্য শব্দের সঙ্গে যুক্ত অবস্থায় থাকবে তখন was/were হবে না। এর পরিবর্তে মূল Verb এর Past form বসবে।
অথবা, Subject যখন কোন কাজ করেছিল বুঝাবে তখন verb এর Past form হবে।

· আমি দুধ পান করেছিলাম - I drank milk.
· মা পিঠা তৈরি করেছিল - Mother made cake.
· নৌকাটি নদীতে ডুবেছিল - The boat sank in the river.
· সে গতকাল এসেছিল - He came yesterday.
· আমি আজ সকালে এসেছি - I came this morning.
· আমি নদীতে গোসল করলাম - I took bath in the river.
· তিনি গত রাতে বাড়ি গিয়েছেন - He went home last night.
· কেউই আমাকে সাহায্য করতে আসে নাই -Nobody came to help me.
· তুমি কি ভাত খেয়েছিলে? - Did you eat rice?
· তুমি কি তাকে টাকা দিয়েছিলে? - Did you give him money?
· তুমি কি বইটা কিনেছিলে? - Did you buy the book?
· তুমি কি ঢাকা গিয়েছিলে? - Did you go to Dhaka?
· সে কি জ্বরে ভুগেছিল? - Did she suffer from fever?
· আমি কি তোমাকে একটি বই দিয়েছিলাম? -Did I give you a book?
· ড.মুহম্মদ ইউনুছ কি পেয়েছেন? - What Dr. Mohammad Younus got?
· তিনি কি ঔষধ খেয়েছিলেন? - Did he take medicine?
· আপনি কি সেখানে গিয়েছিলেন? - Did you go there?
· সে কি আমটি খেয়েছিল? - Did he eat the mango?
· তাহারা কি গিয়েছিল? - Did they go?

 উপরের বাক্যগুলো দ্বারা অতীতের কোন কাজ করা বুঝিয়েছে। এবার দেখি Sentence গুলো Negative করলে কেমন হয়ঃ

· I didn’t go - আমি যাইনি।
· He didn’t come - তিনি আসেননি।
· You didn’t tell - তুমি বলনি।
· The man didn’t steal - লোকটি চুরি করেনি।
 
· আমরা লোকটিকে দেখি নাই - We did not see the man.
· আমরা এটা জানতাম না - We did not know it.
· অনন্ত বেড়াতে যায়নি - Ananto did not go for visiting.
· সে সময়মতো পৌঁছল না - He did not reach in time.
· আমি এটা পছন্দ করিনি - I did not like it.
· আমরা বাইরে যাইনি - We did not go out.
· তারা ঘরটা তৈরি করেনি - They did not make the house.
· বনি কি স্কুলে যায়নি? - Did not Bony go to school?
· তোমরা কি তাকে সাহায্য করনি? - Did you not help him?
· বালকটি কি পড়া শিখেনি? - Did not the boy learn the lesson?

0২). ইংরেজীতে কিভাবে কথা বলা ও লেখা শেখা যায়? / কিভাবে Writing English এ উন্নতি করা যায়? / How can I improve in spoken and writing English?

প্রথমেই মনে রাখতে হবে যে ইংরেজি হচ্ছে একটা ভাষা, যা চর্চা করতে করতে আয়ত্ব করা যায়। যেকোনো ভাষাই শেখার জন্য চারটি ধাপ থাকে,  যেমনঃ  01. Reading  02. Writing  03. Listening  04. Speaking সহজ ভাবে যদি বলি, যত বেশি বেশি Listening করবেন তত দ্রুত আপনার Speaking এ Improve করতে পারবেন। এছাড়াও, Speaking এর ক্ষেত্রে নির্দিষ্ট একটা Topic বা বিষয়ে Listening এর পাশাপাশি নিজে নিজে বলার চেষ্টা করতে হবে। কারো সাথে Practice করতে পারলে বা বলতে পারলে অর্থাৎ এক-দুই জন পার্টনার থাকলে এক্ষেত্রে আরও ভালো হয়। যত বেশি বেশি Reading ও Listening বুঝতে পারবেন তত দ্রুত Writing এ Improve করতে পারবেন। আবার Writing এর ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিদিন কিছুনা কিছু লিখতে হবে এবং সেটা অন্য কাউকে দিয়ে অর্থাৎ  ভালো লিখতে পারে এমন কাউকে দিয়ে Check করিয়ে নিতে পারলে লেখায় দ্রুত উন্নতি করা সম্ভব হয়। এছাড়া, Writing এর জন্য Online থেকে Grammarly এর সহায়তা ও নেওয়া যেতে পারে। Writing এর জন্য English এ Grammar যতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Speaking এর ক্ষেত্রে Grammar ততটা না জানলেও সমস্যা নেই। Speaking টা হচ্ছে আপনি আপনার সামনে...

To, Executive Director,   Technical Operations, HRML Sub: Complain against a senior colleague. After having an opportunity to work on calibration, as per honorable Executive Director Sir's instructions, I tried my best to strongly establish the calibration system at HRML for a couple of months as of the beginning of the year 2021. And I sent a requisition (Req. No: HRML/101/2021) for some calibration instruments dated 01 March 2021.  After a few days, honorable Executive Director sir told me to work and report to Md. Alam Sir for calibration activities as he would have looked after it previously. Since then, I endeavored my best to work with him and hoped that I would be able to brush up my practical knowledge on it. But all my efforts are fully gone in vain.
