23. Might এর ব্যবহার। / Might + V1 এর ব্যবহার। / Uses of Might + V1.
ভবিষ্যতের ঘটনা সম্পর্কে সম্ভাবনা বুঝাতে বা অনুমান করতে (to infer the future incident) might ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- The man might come tonight
- লোকটি আজ রাতে আসতে পারে।
- It might rain this evening
- আজ বিকেলে বৃষ্টি হতে পারে।
- They might cheat you
- তারা তোমাকে ঠকাতে পারে।
- সে সেখানে যেতে পারে।
- You might ask /play-তুমি জিজ্ঞাসা করতে পারো।
- You might also like/enjoy
-তুমিও পছন্দ করতে পারো।
- You might also go/ eat
-তুমিও যেতে/ খেতে পারো।
- My brother might come tonight
- আজ রাতে আমার ভাই আসতে পারে।
Note: উপরের sentence গুলোতে might ব্যবহার না করে may ও ব্যবহার করা যাবে। মূল পার্থক্য হল might শব্দটি may এর চেয়ে বেশি অনিশ্চয়তা প্রকাশ করে।
- He might have a vast amount of money
- তার অনেক টাকা পয়সা থাকতে পারে।
- They might have a car
- তাদের একটা গাড়ী থাকতে পারে।
- You might have a house.
- তোমার একটা বাড়ি থাকতে পারে।
- I might have a lot of money
- আমার অনেক টাকা থাকতে পারে।
- আমার একটা শিল্প কারখানা থাকতে পারে।
- You might have a girlfriend
- তোমার একটা গার্লফ্রেন্ড থাকতে পারে।
- You might have an Aeroplan
- তোমার একটা উড়োজাহাজ থকতে পারে।
Structure: Subject + might have to + v1 + ext.
- I might have to stay tonight
- আমার আজ থাকতে হতে পারে।
- I might have to go there
- আমার আজ সেখানে যেতে হতে পারে।
- আমার আজ কাজ করতে হতে পারে।
- They might have to play
-তাদের খেলতে হতে পারে।
- You might have to solve the problem
- তোমার সমস্যাটা সমাধান করতে হতে পারে।
26. Might have + V3 এর ব্যবহার। / Uses of Might have + V3 in English.
- I might have learnt English
- আমি ইংরেজি শিখতে পারতাম।
- He might have bought a car
- সে একটি গাড়ি কিনতে পারতো।
- He might have died
- সে মারা যেতে পারত।
- The man might have died
- লোকটি হয়তবা মারা যেতে পারত।
- They might have fallen into danger
- তারা বিপদে পড়তে পারত।
- He might have helped us
- সে হয়তবা আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করতে পারত।
Note: Negative sentence এ Might not ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- The train might not come now - এখন হয়তো ট্রেনটি আসবে না।
- I think I might have left the air conditioning on. Please can you check?
- আমার মনে হয় আমি এয়ারকন্ডিশনার অন করে চলে এসেছি। দয়াকরে আপনি কি চেক করবেন।
- Our neighbours might have heard some noises when our car was stolen.
- যখন আমাদের গাড়ী চুরি হয়েছিল আমাদের প্রতিবেশীরা কিছু শব্দ শুনে থাকতে পারে।- Police think the suspect may have left the country using a fake passport.
একইভাবে প্রথম Clause টি Past indefinite হলে পরবর্তী Clause টি verb এর Past perfect tense হয়।
Structure-1: Present Indefinite (1st clause) + As if + Past indefinite (2nd clause)
Structure-2: Past Indefinite (1st clause) + As if + Past perfect (2nd clause)
- He behaves as if/as though he were the Prime Minister of Bangladesh - সে এমন ব্যবহার করে যেন সে বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী। - Washkuruni talks as if / as though he knew everything
- ওয়াসকুরুনী এমনভাবে কথা বলে যেন সে সবকিছু জানে।
- He talks as if he were a fool
- সে এমন ভাবে কথা বলে যেন সে বোকা।
- Sometimes he acts as if he were my boss
- কখনো কখনো সে এমন ভাব করে যেন সে আমার বস।
- He looked as if he hadn’t eaten for days- তাকে দেখে মনে হয়েছিল যেন সে অনেকদিন খায়নি।
- He seemed as if he hadn’t slept for days
- তাকে দেখে মনে হয়েছিল যেন সে অনেক দিন ঘুমায়নি।
- I feel like eating something
- আমার কিছু খতে ইচ্ছে করছে।
- I feel like beating someone
- আমার কাউকে মারতে ইচ্ছে করছে।
- I feel like running
- আমার দৌড়াতে ইচ্ছে করছে।
- I feel like sleeping - তার জুয়া খেলতে ইচ্ছে করছে।
- He feels like watching movies
- তার মুভি দেখতে ইচ্ছে করছে।
- I feel like doing
- আমার করতে ইচ্ছা করছে।

- আমার খেতে ইচ্ছা করছে।
